Our Economic Development Strategy sets out the major priorities for economic development in the District over the next five year period (2022 to 2027).

Our strategy complements our promises in the Council Plan to build on our thriving economy through regeneration of our market towns, enhancing the visitor and rural economies and protecting our economy through preserving and making better use of employment sites and redeveloping previously used land.

We have consulted widely with the business community and partners to shape the content of this strategy. We have tried to capture the concerns and aspirations of those businesses, communities and others already consulted.
