Fawkham Neighbourhood Plan Referendum
A Referendum on the Fawkham Neighbourhood Plan took place on Thursday 13 February 2025.
The outcome was positive with 84.7% votes for ‘Yes’, endorsing the use of the Neighbourhood Plan when deciding planning applications within the Fawkham Parish Council boundary.
The Fawkham Neighbourhood Plan will now proceed to Full Council on Tuesday 25 February 2025, to be formally made (adopted) as part of the Development Plan for Fawkham Parish area.

Decision Statement
Sevenoaks District Council agreed the Fawkham Neighbourhood Plan Decision Statement on Thursday 12 December 2024, under Regulation 18(2) of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. This agrees that the Fawkham Neighbourhood Plan will proceed to Referendum, accepting the modifications and recommendations made by the Independent Examiner.
Independent Examination
Sevenoaks District Council appointed DEREK STEBBING BA (Hons) DipEP MRTPI, of Intelligent Plans and Examinations (IPE), as Independent Examiner of the Fawkham Neighbourhood Plan.
The Examiner published his final report on 24 October 2024.

Sevenoaks District Council published the submitted Fawkham Neighbourhood Plan for consultation from Friday 7 June to Friday 19 July 2024.
Submission (Regulation 15)
Fawkham Parish Council formally submitted the Fawkham Neighbourhood Plan proposal to Sevenoaks District Council on Wednesday 10 April 2024.
