We have secured £1.5 million from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to support business and enterprise, visitor and rural economy, town centres, skills and employment over the next two years.
What we’re doing
Grant funding
We’re running several grant schemes. These will support communities, heritage projects, arts, green business and more.
Visit our grants page, and complete our enquiry form to express your interest in any of our opportunities.
Direct support to our local communities
We will directly fund work that addresses challenges, delivers improvements and opens opportunities in our District. This includes:
• Improvements in our town centres
• Community events and activities
• Promotion of our District as a place to live, work, visit and invest
• Researching the potential of digital technology.
Business, skills and employment
We are supporting residents with employment and we are working with other local authorities in West Kent to develop packages of support for young people and adults who find it difficult to find work. We will also support skills development in areas that present new opportunities, such as digital skills and training in green retrofit skills.
West Kent Business provides organisations with free access to mentoring, training, networking and resources, including grants and events. Register to take advantage of the support.
