Prevent is part of the Government's multi-agency programme to help identify people at risk of radicalisation or supporting terrorism.
It aims to stop people being drawn into or supporting terrorism. The Prevent strategy focuses on three key areas:
- Responding to the ideological challenge of terrorism
- Supporting vulnerable people and preventing people from being drawn into terrorism
- Working with key sectors and institutions to address the risks of radicalisation
Report a concern or make a referral to Prevent
- If you have immediate concerns about the welfare of anyone, call the police on 999
- To make a Prevent referral, download and complete the Prevent Referral Form (on the KCC website)
- You can contact the police
- Call 101 or 0800 789 321
- Complete an online report for possible terrorist activity.
You can also report online material promoting terrorism or extremism.
