Certain residents who live in Controlled Parking Zones can apply for on-street parking permits.
Permits are available for residents who live in homes built or converted before 2014.

Fees
If you have no off street spaces, the costs are:
- 1st permit - £50
- 2nd permit - £100
- 3rd permit - £175
- 4th permit - £325
If you have one off street space, the costs are:
- 1st permit - £100
- 2nd permit - £175
- 3rd permit - £325
- 4th permit - £325
If you have two off street spaces, the costs are:
- 1st permit - £175
- 2nd permit - £325
- 3rd permit - £325
- 4th permit - £325
If you have three off street spaces, the costs are:
- 1st permit - £325
- 2nd permit - £325
- 3rd permit - £325
- 4th permit - £325
If you are a Blue Badge holder and have no off street spaces, the costs are:
- 1st permit - FREE
- 2nd permit - £100
- 3rd permit - £175
- 4th permit - £325
Permit costs, including those for properties with a free blue badge or electric vehicle permit, are calculated based on the number of off street spaces at the property and the number of permits held, including those issued for free.

Applications from 1 April 2025
From 1 April, applications for resident on-street parking permits can be made online.
When you apply, you will be asked to enter your address and postcode. You will be informed if you are eligible and the area where you can apply for a permit.
When you apply...
You will be asked to upload one of the following documents to show proof of residency:
- A recent Council Tax Bill
- A utility bill (within the past months)
- A bank statement (within the past months)
- A tenancy agreement
- Your Driving Licence
You will also be asked to upload one of the following vehicle documents:
- A vehicle log book (V5C)
- A vehicle lease or hire agreement
- Headed letter from your employer naming the driver
- An insurance policy schedule
- A copy of a current Blue Badge
