Sevenoaks District Council has pledged its support for this year’s Great British Spring Clean, run by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
The campaign, which runs from 25 March to 10 April 2022, will see up to hundreds of thousands of people taking action to clean up streets, parks and beaches across the country.
Sevenoaks District Council is encouraging residents to find local events to take part in and will be lending equipment to ‘Clean Up Sevenoaks District’, a weekend long event on 26 and 27 March.
Sevenoaks District Council’s Cabinet Member for ‘Cleaner and Greener’, Cllr Margot McArthur, says: “We’re so pleased to be supporting this year’s Great British Spring Clean and we hope many residents will take part in either the ‘Clean Up Sevenoaks District’ weekend event or organise their own litter pick.
“We are very lucky to live in a beautiful part of the country and it’s great to see so many people take pride in where they live.”
