It’s not long until ‘Run, walk or push against dementia’ returns for 2022 and spaces are filling up quickly.
There’s still time to sign up to the event which takes place on Sunday 22 May 2022 in the beautiful Knole Park, Sevenoaks. Participants can choose from a timed 3 or 5k course suitable for parents with pushchairs through to a 10k course suitable for runners.
Places are limited, so those wishing to take part are being encouraged to register quickly.
All the money raised goes to the Sevenoaks Area Dementia Friendly Community Forum, a registered charity that supports local people who are living with dementia and their carers.
Cabinet Member for People and Places, Cllr Lesley Dyball, says: “We’re so pleased that ‘Run, walk or push against dementia’ is back for 2022. It’s a brilliant community event that’s suitable for families, runners and everyone in between. Make sure you don’t miss out, sign up today!”
Elaine Murray, co-founder of the Sevenoaks Area Dementia Friendly Community Forum, adds: "Run, walk or push is our major fundraising event but it does so much more than that – it raises awareness of dementia in our area. It enables individuals, families and groups to jointly exercise in beautiful surroundings and brings together many partners and volunteers from the community to ensure the event runs smoothly and brings joy."
