Cllr Diana Esler presented local charity DAVSS with a cheque for £5,423 during one of her final engagements as Council Chairman.
When Cllr Esler became Chairman in May 2021, one of her aims was to support and raise funds for DAVSS - the Domestic Abuse Volunteer Support Services.
The money was raised at various events over the past year.
Cllr Esler says: “I would like to personally thank all the residents, businesses and organisations who donated to this important cause. DAVSS relies in part on the generosity of the public. This money, kindly given, by our community will help DAVSS to continue with its vital work.”
The cheque was presented to DAVSS today (Friday 6 May 2022).
DAVSS is a Tunbridge Wells based community charity supporting any victims of domestic abuse, aged 16 years and above, in West Kent.
