The popular Hollybush Playground in Sevenoaks is getting an exciting £85,000 refurbishment.
Sevenoaks District Council is leading the upgrade that includes installing new play equipment such as a tree top canopy tube slide, new swings, a seesaw and lots more!
The works will begin during the first week of September and will last around one month. The playground will be closed to the public during this time.
Cabinet member for People and Places, Cllr Lesley Dyball says “We know Hollybush playground is a family favourite so we are delighted to be able to provide this exciting new equipment. The modern new facilities will mean locals and visitors will be able to enjoy this popular play area for generations to come.
“In the near future, we also plan to install some outdoor gym and exercise equipment in the area as well.”
The work is being paid for by a grant from Kent Council Council’s Community Parks Funding. A further £15,000 is going to Farningham Parish Council to part fund their playground improvements.
