Residents are being asked to give their thoughts and opinions on the proposed Conservation Area appraisals for Eynsford, Farningham and Kemsing.
The appraisals for these conservation areas are being comprehensively revised and updated into a new format that is easier to use and better suited to the digital age.
The revised appraisals are designed to be more accessible and will guide decisions on development proposals affecting the conservation areas while helping to protect what is special about these historic villages.
Residents can view and comment on the draft proposed appraisals from now until Friday 3 March 2023.
The surveys and proposed conservation area appraisals are available at www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/conservationareas.
The Council is also hosting a number of drop in events where residents can find out more and have their say on the proposals. The events are taking place on the following days and locations:
- Kemsing: Saturday 21 January, 12noon to 2pm, at St Edith’s Hall, Kemsing
- Farningham: Saturday 28 January, 12noon to 2pm, Farningham Village Hall
- Eynsford: Saturday 4 February, 12noon to 2pm, Eynsford Village Hall
Cllr Julia Thornton, Sevenoaks District Council’s Cabinet Member for Development & Conservation, says: “These areas provide a rich and valued heritage that is very important to the District so it is incredibly important we hear everyone’s thoughts on what needs to be done to safeguard this.
“I urge everyone to visit the website and give their thoughts, or if they are a little unsure, please come along to one of our events and talk with our friendly team.”
