It is time to celebrate one of the Sevenoaks District’s greatest assets – its parks and green spaces.
From 28 July to 6 August 2023, Keep Britain Tidy’s “Love Parks Week” will shine a light on the District’s amazing green spaces that provide places for people to enjoy and nature to flourish.
Sevenoaks District Council, alongside town and parish councils, works hard to promote and make the District’s green spaces look great. But they need help from residents. From putting litter in the bin, to keeping dogs under control, there are lots we can all do to help keep Sevenoaks District’s open spaces great and enjoyable for all.
The District’s parks and green space are enjoyed by many visitors each year. For more information and locations, visit www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/countryside
Cllr Margot McArthur, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Cleaner & Greener, says:
“Love Parks Week is a great way to celebrate the District’s parks and green spaces, which provide important places for healthy and happy communities and for nature.
“We have hundreds of acres of green spaces from well managed parks to stunning woodlands and nature-rich commons. I’d urge residents to get out and explore these amazing spaces on their doorsteps.”
