Sevenoaks District Council are holding a free Helping Hand into Work event on Friday 28 June to help residents who are out of work and searching for a job.
The open day will help attendees learn how to get shortlisted for a job, present themselves at interviews and how to improve confidence when applying for roles. There will also be tips on health and wellbeing and information about benefits and training.
Leader of Sevenoaks District Council and Cabinet Member for Improvement & Innovation, Cllr Peter Fleming, says: “This free event is a great opportunity for people to improve their confidence and job application skills. Finding a job can be a difficult task, especially if you have been out of work for a while, so the Helping Hand open day will really useful to any resident looking for work.”
The open day takes place at the Sevenoaks District Council offices on Argyle Road, Sevenoaks between 10am and 12pm. It is a free event but places must be booked in advance by calling 01732 227000 or emailing communities@sevenoaks.gov.uk
