Throughout the Autumn and Winter, we’re promoting and hosting lots of events for over 55s in the Sevenoaks District to celebrate Silver Sunday.
So come along and meet new people, try something new or get more active.
Silver Bells Christmas Parties
This year we’re holding two Silver Bell Christmas Parties. There will be music, games, prizes, a delicious Christmas lunch and a guest appearance from Santa.
The event take place on:
- Thursday 5 December 2024, 1pm to 3.30pm at Hartley Village Hall, Ash Road, Hartley, Longfield DA3 8EL
- Thursday 12 December 2024, 12 noon to 3pm at Bat & Ball Centre, Crampton’s Road, Sevenoaks TN14 5DN

Silver Tea Dances
We’re holding four free tea dances where you can learn new dance routines and enjoy and afternoon tea. They take place from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on:
- Wednesday 16 October 2024 at West Kingsdown Village Hall
- Thursday 7 November 2024 at Hextable Village Hall
- Tuesday 19 November 2024 at Eynsford Village Hall
- Friday 22 November 2024 at New Ash Green Village Centre

These events also offer free one-to-one sessions to help older residents improve their digital skills and confidence, enabling them to get online, in partnership with Compaid.
Health and Wellbeing Days
Over 55s who live or work in the Sevenoaks District can come along to our free Health & Wellbeing Days at Sevenoaks, Edenbridge or Swanley White Oak Leisure Centres between 10am and 2pm on certain days to explore the centres and meet new people.
Our One You advisors and personal trainers will be on hand to offer advice on exercise and nutrition.
There will also be an opportunity to have an NHS health check, speak to a diabetes nurse and get a strength and balance test.
There’s no need to book and there will be free tea and coffee.

One Day Leisure Pass
Residents aged 55 plus can claim a free one-day pass for Edenbridge, Sevenoaks and White Oak Leisure Centres.
You can use the pass on the first Sunday of October, November and December 2024.

Discounted tee times
Over 55s can claim a 25% discount on tee times at Lullingstone Park Golf Course.
This discount is valid Monday to Friday through October to December 2024 for residents with valid ID and a Silver Sunday programme. Alternatively, show this page on your phone.
Discounted Tee Times must be booked in advance by calling Lullingstone Park Golf Course on 01959 583019 or visiting the course in person at Parkgate Road, Chelsfield, Kent BR6 7PX.
Print and Paper workshops with Sevenoaks Visual Arts Forum
Experience the pleasure of working in print to make original images by hand and using a press, as well as folding your results into simple books and forms.
Suitable for all abilities in a supportive environment and materials are provided.
They take place between 10.30am and 12.30pm on Fridays 18 October, 15 November and 13 December at Kaleidoscope, Sevenoaks Library. Please email sevenoakskaleidoscope@gmail.com to book.
