Zero Waste Week | Sevenoaks District Council

Zero Waste Week

From 6-10 September, we’re supporting Zero Waste Week as part of our Net Zero by 2030 ambitions. Zero Waste week takes place every September and puts forward the challenge to reduce your waste by reusing and recycling things like plastic packaging and reducing the amount of food that goes in the bin. The aim is to take responsibility for what we consume and help understand that many of the products we use have only a short time of usefulness as part of their overall lifecycle.

As a Council we are doing everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint. This includes cutting our use of fossil fuels, introducing electronic vehicles and installing electric charging points in our car parks.

Throughout the week we’ll be giving you tips and advice on how to be less wasteful and kinder to the environment.
